• Engage across party lines by reaching out to elected officials of all political affiliations—especially in Republican-led districts—to share pressing community needs and demonstrate the value of nonprofit services.

• Apply early for FY26 Congressional Directed Spending (CDS) and aim to diversify funding sources to build more competitive, resilient applications.

• Mobilize collectively as nonprofit coalitions to advocate for policy solutions and protect resources at both the state and federal levels.

• Submit testimony or letters to congressional committees, particularly those where Senator Alsobrooks serves, to ensure nonprofit perspectives are part of the legislative record.
